In August the EHS community lost a beautiful member of our family, Rachael Moss, to a car accident. Today, we dedicated a memorial in her memory on the EHS campus. Thank you to Mr. Groth and members of his wood shop for building the three plant boxes, Mr. Buell, Mr. Rust, Mrs. Miller and Mr. Kruse for all of your hard work in bringing the memorial together. Thank you to Pass Creek Nursery and Kellygreen Nursery for the Japanese Maple trees and flowers. Our students spent time this afternoon decorating river rocks to fill the plant boxes, painted with messages and images for Rachael.

May 8, 2023 TO: Elkton School District #34 FROM: Andy Boe, Superintendent, Elkton School District RE: JOB OPENING – Temporary Summer Cleaning & Maintenance Position CLOSING DATE: May 17, 2023 There is an opening for Summer Cleaning & Maintenance Job Description: Elkton Charter School is accepting applications for temporary summer custodian/maintenance position. Duties will consist of moving furniture, cleaning all the rooms in district buildings, grounds keeping, irrigation, painting, maintenance, helping with various construction projects and other assigned tasks. You will be required to operate assorted cleaning machines and grounds keeping equipment, mix concentrated products, follow directions, and work independently. There will be heavy lifting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, climbing, and bending involved. The position will begin June 12th and go through August 25th . The work schedule will be Monday thru Thursday 10 hrs a day at a rate of $13.20 per hour. Applications can be picked up at the Elkton High School office. This organization is dedicated to helping underprivileged kids by providing them with new and gently used gear to help bolster confidence and quality among track programs throughout Oregon. Please check out endlessmileage.org to learn more about the project and help spread the word so other schools and track programs can benefit from their generosity. Thank you so much Ben for your support and effort in helping our youth of Elkton.
